About the event

The event is a platform for some of Europe’s smartest data professionals to come together and discuss many of the newest cases for machine learning and artificial intelligence, ranging from predictive maintenance and fraud detection to product recommendation engines and proactive customer support.

The client asked us to come up with a way we called work within the one area hired within Truman Brewery. They needed to split the main room and to have an expo and main plenary to seat 200 delegates.

Also we needed to create two simple break-out room to seat 100 each. We had to supply technical support to the expo area including orders for any exhibition AV requirements

The main room was split using pipe and drape to create a physical barrier and to reduce the sound from the main plenary to the expo. A point source system with increased amounts of smaller speakers were placed throughout the main plenary to allow the audio to be closely controlled and provide an even coverage of sound to all areas without it being too loud.

Staging was provided with a single lectern and area for panel discussions. A bespoke set was created to include two rear projection screens with custom print in the centre section. Rear projection was chosen for the event due to the venue having limited availability for rigging anything in the roof.

Lighting was provided to cover the stage with an even wash for photos and uplighters were used to highlight specific areas of the stage, as well as various architectural elements of the space to create an interesting and uplifting space.

The two break out rooms where created using a podium stage with lectern and a 65” screen either side of the podium to ensure all delegates could see the content no matter where they sat.

Again, multiple speakers where used around the space to ensure an even coverage, yet allowing the sound to be controlled and not dissipate into other spaces of the venue

The entire event was set up in one day with a team of technicians split to focus on each area simultaneously in order to meet the required deadlines.

The main plenary was completed by 16:00 to allow the guest speakers to rehearse and accustom themselves to the space.

The exhibition and breakout rooms were all completed by 22:00 meeting the client’s deadlines

The event was a huge success with all areas running smoothly and the Delegate experiences flowing smoothly from space to space.

As this was the first event completed for this client, the clients event team were very pleased with the restrictions that were imposed by venue and time lines to achieve this.
